Although the name (Boxer) may suggest otherwise, the boxer is a lover not a fighter. They are light hearted and more suited as a companion than a guard or watchdog. Boxers are extremely intelligent, and easily bored. A boxer needs a task, or entertainment to keep their sharp minds from getting into trouble. Boxers are best described as canine comedians, they don't take things too seriously. Boxers and children seem to be made for one another. Both are enthusiastic,eager,energetic, and fun loving. While it may seem like the Boxer has a little something for everyone, it is not a breed that should be brought into the house without some research and careful consideration. Not all people nore all lifestyles are compatible with boxer ownership.
